Balatin B.V. (“Balatin”, “we”, “us”) operates the Balatin rental marketplace. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at info@balatin.com.

• Enquiry details — your name, email, phone number and message when you contact an agency or landlord through the Platform.
• Subscription details — your email address if you sign up for new-listing alerts.
• Usage data — technical information such as your device and how you interact with the Platform, collected to keep it secure and improve it.

3. How we use your data

We use your data to:

• pass your enquiry to the relevant agency or landlord so they can respond;
• send the listing alerts you have requested;
• operate, secure and improve the Platform;
• comply with our legal obligations.

4. Legal basis

We process your data on the basis of your consent (for example, listing alerts), to take steps at your request before entering into a contract (for example, handling enquiries), and our legitimate interest in running a secure, useful marketplace.

5. Sharing your data

We share enquiry details with the agency or landlord responsible for the listing you contacted. We also use trusted service providers (for example, hosting and email delivery) who process data on our behalf under appropriate agreements. We do not sell your personal data.

6. Retention

We keep your data only as long as necessary for the purposes described above or as required by law. You can ask us to delete your data at any time, subject to any legal retention obligations.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to processing, and to data portability.
