1. About these terms
These terms and conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Balatin website and rental marketplace (the “Platform”), operated by Balatin B.V. (“Balatin”, “we”, “us”). By using the Platform you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
2. What Balatin does
Balatin is a marketplace that connects prospective tenants with rental homes offered by letting agencies and landlords. Balatin facilitates the discovery of and enquiry about homes. Unless explicitly stated, Balatin is not a party to any rental agreement concluded between a tenant and a landlord or agency.
3. Using the Platform
You agree to use the Platform only for lawful purposes and not to misuse it, including by submitting false information, attempting to gain unauthorised access, or interfering with its operation. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide when sending enquiries or subscribing to updates.
4. Listings & pricing
Listings are provided by agencies and landlords. While we work to verify homes for quality, legality and safety, Balatin does not guarantee the accuracy, availability or pricing of any individual listing. Prices and availability may change without notice. Always confirm details directly before entering into any agreement.
5. Enquiries
When you send an enquiry, the relevant details are shared with the agency or landlord responsible for the listing so they can respond. By sending an enquiry you consent to this sharing for that purpose.
6. Intellectual property
The Platform, including its design, text and the Balatin name and logo, is owned by or licensed to Balatin and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce or distribute any part of the Platform without our prior written consent.
7. Liability
To the extent permitted by Dutch law, Balatin is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the Platform or from any agreement concluded with an agency or landlord. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
8. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The most current version will always be available on this page, with the date of the latest revision shown above.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes will be submitted to the competent court in Amsterdam, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
